I started pitching at 16.
I topped out at 97.
I'm Davis Tyndall, founder of PitchSequence. A five-year Division 1 pitcher who went from the upper 70s to topping out at 97 mph.
I built PitchSequence so every pitcher can get a real coach's eyes on their mechanics and a clear plan to throw harder, fix what's holding them back, and protect their arm, without needing an expensive private coach.
I didn't start pitching until my junior year of high school. I was an outfielder, and honestly, I was overlooked the whole way up, through Little League, middle school, and the start of high school. I wasn't a high recruit. I wasn't the kid anyone projected.
What changed my career wasn't talent. It was understanding how pitching actually works.
It started with me watching breakdowns of big-league pitching mechanics: how the body sequences, where velocity really comes from, and how the right movements let you throw harder. I was hooked. I started writing my own training programs (weighted balls, lifting, mobility) and training with a purpose.
I went from the upper 70s to topping out at 97 mph, and earned five years of Division 1 baseball at Western Carolina and Coastal Carolina. I did it using the same philosophies I now coach every PitchSequence athlete with. I even spent a summer training at Driveline Baseball, which still shapes how I build programs today.
After college, I stepped away from the game for a couple of years, and I realized I missed it. But not the way I expected. It wasn't the spotlight. It was the work behind it: the training, the development, helping a pitcher unlock something they didn't know they had. That's my favorite part of this game, and it's why I built PitchSequence.
What I believe
Most instruction tries to force every kid into the same arm action and the same drills. That's not pitching. Watch the big leagues. Every one of them does it differently. There are shared principles in how efficient pitchers transfer energy and time up their delivery, but the way it looks is unique to every pitcher. Your mechanics are yours.
That's why PitchSequence starts with a real evaluation across the five pillars I look for in every pitcher, before we ever prescribe a drill. We find what you already do well and exactly where you can grow, then build from there. That "evaluate first, then write the program" approach is one of the biggest things my summer at Driveline hammered into me. No two athletes are the same.
And we put arm health first, always. Every program has arm care built in before and after you throw. It's the foundation of everything we do, so you feel good developing in the off-season and competing in-season.
Why this exists
Great pitching development has always been locked behind expensive private coaching that most families can't reach. I want to change that. My mission is simple: build a pitching development system that's genuinely elite and something every family can actually afford. Every pitcher deserves to understand their own delivery: what's working, what's holding them back, and exactly what to do next.
That's what PitchSequence gives you. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
